November 2021 had Saksham-the Placement and E-Cell of Satyawati College race through peaks and valleys. Maintaining an ace towards providing ample opportunities, the month witnessed varied placement shots and interactive webinars.
An exuberant point to mention here is that the autumn season had the cell finally reaching its mark of providing over 100 employment opportunities to those who capably seek it. The zone of students who majorly benefitted were from commerce and arts background. The companies which came in the month of November are Top Hire, Otipy, Bajaj Capital, Tarzan ways, Edu Paper and Net Impact. Top Hire and Bajaj Capital offered 5 LPA and 3-6 LPA respectively.
The society is over the moon to help the youthful minds within the college. Initial days of the month saw core members bustling towards planning and drafting event catalogues.
On 20th November, the cell was grateful to have Dr. Neha Arora, Campus placement chairperson at ISB&M, Pune on board. The student development programme was titled “Campus2Corporate” where the speaker shared some valuable insights to aid mentees usher in the corporate world. Having a personality who’s contributed on the road to several projects with PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, GOI and is an author to over 10 international and peer-reviewed research papers, she definitely had our commercians learn exceedingly.
On 21st November, the cell organized another counselling session on the theme "Higher Education (Master in Analytics and MBA in US). Ms. Inaara Kheraj and Mr. Shlok Gupta presided over the event as the speakers.
Ms. Inaara Kheraj holds a Master’s Degree in Business Analytics from Columbia University, New York. She is currently working at a growth consulting firm, Accelerated Growth, as an Associate. Mr. Shlok Gupta holds a master degree in Business Administration from Washington University, U.S.A. He’s currently working at HighRadius as a Techno Functional Consultant. The event was definitely a help for all the aspirants.
On 27th November, the society organized webinar on "Effective Communication" with Dr. Anita Jindal as the elocutionist. The counselling session had students get their hopes up, for the words of an international guide hit different. Dr. Anita holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinos, Chicago, has been honoured with IDG 2020 award, Bay Area Timmy award 2019. Adding, she is a Sr. director at VMware with a multitude of experience in the field of technical management and is a moderator to support Women in Technology (WIT) goals globally. The event left a spark of fire in the minds of every participant as to what skills they must develop as a communicator.
The society over this span was ceaseless. It also collaborated with Internshala, India’s most renowed hiring platform. Titled “Internshala Recruitment Programme,” many famed employers like American Express, HCL, Kotak Mahindra Bank, PhonePe, Viacom etc offered jobs to recent graduates and even final year students with bewitching perks of upto 20LPA to 350+ fresher roles, 7500+ internships with Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) in all major domains such as management, law, media, engineering, design and several others.
Apart from this, the website is always updated with necessary and friendly blogs for all the students of the college. The Placement Cell never misses a chance to get to know their members. So, it organized an enjoyable Team building for the members.
Closing, Saksham aims to push the envelope during the upcoming Christmas spell. It is only through innovation and labor that our students will be motivated to be the next Birla’s and Ambani’s and above all, pay back to the country.
